It means that God speaks to us and moves our heart; then we speak those very words back to Him moving His heart. In other words, we just tell God what He tells us to tell Him. - Mike Bickle, Director of the IHOP-KC
To: All Amarillo Pastors and Prayer Intercessors:
You are cordially invited to come and pray as we seek God for our city and nation
AT THE AMARILLO HOUSE OF PRAYER EVERY TUESDAY 7-8 PM, THURSDAY 7-8 PM plus WEDNESDAY 12 NOON: PRAYER FOR THE NATION & CITY *2nd Saturday of each month is the MCCHC & House of Prayer Community Fellowship and Prayer Meeting at 9 AM
"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." II Chronicles 7:14
Our Prayer: (One Church /Many Congregations)
For we know, as the clergy goes so goes the church, and as the church goes so goes our nation. - Derek Prince. And, as our founding fathers emphasized: Separation of church and state" but NOT "separation of GOD and state."
***Let them prepare a sanctuary (a Holy place "set apart") for Me, so that I may dwell among them. - Exodus 25:8***
MISSION/PURPOSE STATEMENT: TO WORSHIP HIM BECAUSE HE IS HOLY AND TRULY WORTHY OF OUR PRAISE AND TO HUMBLE OURSELVES AND SEEK HIS FACE BECAUSE WE ARE, INDEED, DESPERATE.
GOAL: To form a matrix of early morning, noon and evening praise and worship and prayer "watches" led by our pastors and their prayer teams in an environment dedicated to an eventual continuous 24/7 praise and worship and prayer by worshipers from all denominations.
The Amarillo House of Prayer
exists to promote "Clergy unity" and to help mobilize the Amarillo Body of Christ to become an Army of God.
PRAY WITH US: Dear Almighty God, Heavenly Father, Prince of Peace, Wonderful Counselor: We are, indeed, desperate; and we know the battle belongs to you - "IF we your people, who are called by your name, will humble ourselves and pray and seek your face, repent, and turn from our wicked ways, then you will hear from heaven, forgive our sins and will heal our land." 2 Chronicles 7:14
As we seek you for our city and nation, please continue to bless the Amarillo House of Prayer - an "umbrella" (hosted by Pastors Bill & Lana Meyerholtz of Miracle Covenant Church Healing Center) - a place where pastors and prayer warriors can gather together in "true" Biblical unity, (out of diversity but not uniformity) - to seek your face, and "repent" - to pursue and feel your presence - to pursue and feel your presence - to hear from you and act in "unity" - to mobilize for a "transformation" in our city ("transformation" is a byproduct of pursuing His presence)
Guide us, as we "fan the flames" of the many prayer fires that exist within the City of Amarillo's 150+ congregations/ministries - that together make up the "real" House of Prayer - the total body of believers - the "real" Amarillo Chruch. "Don't you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the spirit of God lives in you? God will destroy anyone who destroys this temple. For God's temple is holy, and you are that temple." I Cor. 3:16-17
We thank you LORD for your righteousness, joy and peace that passes all understanding. YOU are our HOPE. We humbly ask that you would restore city and nation to your purposes, again, using each of us individually and all of us together, for your glory. May your Kingdom come to America as it is in Heaven. Amen. "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord." Pslams 133:2
"Is it not written, 'My house will be called a House of Prayer for all nations'?" Isaiah 56:7 Matthew 21:13 Mark 11:17
"Is it not written, 'My house will be called a House of Prayer for all nations'?" Mark 11:17
Our hope is to become a platform for our city to bring an offering of worship and prayer. Our desire is that this would be owned by the Church of Amarillo. But this will not be what it needs to be, before the Lord, unless everyone takes their part, whatever that might be. Now is the time for a lavish offering such as this! Our team invites any choir, worship team, or intercessor to consider joining in this ongoing offering of worship and prayer. No matter the musical style, language, or denomination, as long as it's pure ministry to the heart of the Lord Jesus Christ, you are invited to be a part of this public demonstration of God's Presence.
Question: What would it take for our diverse Christian community, of many suburban and urban fellowships, to come together, in Biblical unity, so we could have maximum "impact" in our community? Answer: To paraphrase God talking to Moses from Exodus 25: - "Let them prepare a sanctuary (a Holy place, a special place: a place 'set apart') for ME - and, if you will, individually and corporately, come to pray and fast, confess and repent of your sins, and praise and worship ME, continuously (24/7), I will come and DWELL." (Shekineh Glory) Comment: We have such a place in Amarillo - AMARILLO HOUSE OF PRAYER located at 800 S. Bryan. Think about it: neutral "umbrella" where panhandle pastors and their teams can network and build relationships as they gather to lift up our city and nation and lead our peole in corporate praise & worhip and prayer as America turns back to God. Challenge: We have the "location." We have "laid" the groundwork.* As we "launch", we are looking for a "core" of pastors "in the city" who would, also, want to take on the additional role as "pastors of the city" and come together in Biblical unity out of diversity (not uniformity). For we know, as the clergy goes, so goes the church, and as the church goes, so goes the nation. Invitation: You are cordially invited to an OPEN HOUSE on any Tuesday 7-8 pm or any Wednesday 12-1 pm for a time of praise, worship, prayer and a tour of the AMARILLO HOUSE OF PRAYER. Questions: Why would pastors and their teams even consider coming - leaving their "fellowships" to come to and spend time at the AMARILLO HOUSE OF PRAYER? What would pastors and their teams have to take off their "plates" to come? What would pastors and their teams gain if they did come? Why do less than 40% of the people in Amarillo (and America) go to a church fellowship on a regular basis? Or to put it another way: Why do over 60% of the people in Amarillo and America think going to church is irrelevant? Answer: To paraphrase Jesus from Mark 1:35-38 - "very early in the morning, while it was dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. After sunrise, Simon and his companions went to look for him, and when they found him, they explained: "Everyone is looking for you'!" Comment: When Jesus went to a solitary place (as he did often), He gathered strength and people were supernaturally drawn to him. Think about it: if pastors would spend time away from their flocks at the AMARILLO HOUSE OF PRAYER, they would gain strength and find that people would be supernaturally drawn to their places of worship. Jesus told his disciples in Mark 6:31, "Come away by yourselves to a remote place and rest awhile - you need to guard your minds so you do not come apart." Rather, than looking for people, first, with programs, reverse the strategy and look for the Lord first, in a solitary place (like the Amarillo House of Prayer).
